Egging On, the Foddian physics-based egg platformer, is having a special open Beta Easter weekend, so you can take your egg to the heavens (and probably fall all the way back down again!)
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer during the closed Beta, Egging On is a Getting Over it with Bennet Foddy style high stakes physics-based platformer. In the game you take control of a little egg (or easter egg) and attempt to climb from the ground, up through a chicken house and high up into the sky.
Being an egg you’re not particularly agile (and rather fragile), so you need to take care with youtube jumps. Your non-spherical shape means your roll can be a little awkward, but it does allow you to jump higher if you time it right. Mistakes can have brutal consequences, with you able to fall right back to the start, and you can even crack your shell and spill your yolk (though thankfully, your shell does grow back after a few seconds).
It’s a fun take on the Foddian rage-quit platformer genre, with a charming premise, great physics and creative level design. An eggcellent high-stakes platformer well worth cracking into.
